Heritage Quest Online Database

Heritage Quest allows access to thousands of useful sources through 4 areas.

Search Census

Search by surname, census year, and/or state. [NOTE: Database in not yet complete. Heritage Quest is working to

make all census records available. As of November 2005, available censuses include: 1790, 1800, 1810, 1820, 1860,

1870, 1900, 1910, 1920, and part of 1930]. This is an extremely useful resource. The researcher may get a snapshot

view of all the people in the country with a given surname in a census year, or they can look up a specific name in census

records from a particular state and county.

Search Books

An index of over 25,000 books, including family histories and local histories. Users may search by place and/or personal

name, viewing actual pages from the books themselves.

Search PERSI

An index to 1.6 million genealogy and local history articles.

Search Revolutionary War

Search selected records from the Revolutionary War Pension & Bounty Land Warrant Application Files.

has a special subscription to Heritage Quest that enables library card holders to

use the database free-of-charge. After clicking HERE (to jump to the Heritage Quest website),

simply type-in your Mooresville Public Library Evergreen Indiana barcode number (i.e., your

patron I.D. number) as directed to access the database.

Legacy Links

An in-house project developed specifically for the Mooresville Public
Library, this database is accessible through the library's website.

We have received calls and letters from across the country from
researchers who were delighted to find Legacy Links on the Internet.

We hope to be able to include as much information as possible about the
residents of Mooresville and Morgan County, and to stitch
together
fragmented pieces of biographies to present a more complete and
accurate picture of the individuals and families who have
lived in our town.
